Paruyr Hovhannisyan appointed Armenia’s Permanent Representative to UN

Paruyr Hovhannisyan has been appointed as the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the United Nations.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision to dismiss Paruyr Hovhannisyan from his position as Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan served as Deputy Foreign Minister since November 9, 2021. Prior to that, he was the Head of the Europe Department of the Armenian Foreign Ministry and later served as the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe.
