Pashinyan discusses ‘Trump Route’ at CIS Summit in Dushanbe

At the CIS Heads of State Summit in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the “Trump Route” opens new opportunities for the Commonwealth.
Pashinyan added that Armenia will work with the United States and agreed third parties on the development of the “Trump Route.”
“The TRIPP project provides Armenia with the possibility of railway and other transport links with the CIS member state Azerbaijan, as well as other CIS countries. This is a significant development that will undoubtedly help strengthen economic ties within the CIS and enhance the organization’s efficiency,” he said, noting that the project also opens new export and import opportunities for CIS nations.
Pashinyan also spoke about the initialing of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, emphasizing that “established peace does not mean that all issues on the agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan have been resolved.”
