During the Silk Road Forum in Georgia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia is ready—not only politically but also technically—from today to facilitate the transit of cargo trucks between Turkey and Azerbaijan through its territory.

“I’m pleased to note that the positive dialogue between Armenia and Turkey gives hope that we may soon achieve the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border. We are ready—not only politically but also technically—to ensure the transit of trucks from Turkey to Azerbaijan and from Azerbaijan to Turkey through Armenian territory starting today. The roads and border infrastructure along the Margara–Yeghegnadzor–Sisian–Goris route are ready,” he said.

According to him, “in the near future, pipelines and power transmission lines connecting Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey will be laid through Armenian territory.”

“As I mentioned, both rail and road connections will also be established. All of this is being discussed within the framework of the TRIPP program. We are also holding relevant negotiations with Turkey and Azerbaijan. Additionally, we are working with the United States on implementing these agreements. The most crucial condition for realizing all of this is the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan following the Washington summit. We are now working to institutionalize that peace,” he added.
