During his speech at a forum in Tbilisi, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for lifting the ban on cargo transit to Armenia.

“Azerbaijan has taken an important step. It is already lifting restrictions on the transit of goods through its territory toward us. President Aliyev announced this yesterday. I thank him for this decision and welcome the initiative. Just a few months ago, this would have been unimaginable,” Pashinyan said.

According to Pashinyan, the first transit cargo to arrive in Armenia via Azerbaijan and then Georgia will be wheat from Kazakhstan.
