Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will attend the parade in Moscow on May 9, as the victory in the Great Patriotic War is also the victory of the Armenian people, Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan said during the briefing.
“It is also our victory. 300 thousand Armenians died for the victory, many Armenians fought in the armies of the allies. Pashinyan’s May 9 visit to Moscow is not related to the EU or other matters,” he said in response to a journalist’s question about Brussels’ potential reaction to the Armenian Prime Minister’s attendance at the parade marking the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
The agreement on Pashinyan’s visit to Moscow was reached following a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
