Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Russia is expected soon, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk told reporters.
“Nikol Vovaevich was in Russia two weeks ago. We are also expecting him in Russia soon. And we are waiting for him to visit,” he said.
The Armenian prime minister last visited Russia in July, where he participated in an international environmental conference in Altai.
Overchuk also said he will visit Yerevan next week, where he will possibly meet with Pashinyan.
“Next week I am flying to Yerevan. The trip itself was planned in advance, following agreements made during the meeting in Altai. It is connected with the fact that a legal act appeared in Armenia’s legal regulation—a decree of the Armenian government, which, in our opinion, contradicts the law of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Overchuk said, adding that as part of the meeting with Pashinyan, details related to unblocking communications in the South Caucasus region will be determined.
