“Pashinyan’s formula has already been tested — it led to wars”: Karen Igityan
Political analyst Karen Igityan spoke with Alpha News about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s recent statements, characterizing them as a political approach that has already been tried, and has already failed.
“What was the outcome? In 2021, 2022, and 2023, we experienced several wars, as a result of which Armenia lost territories and suffered numerous casualties, culminating in the exodus of Armenians from Artsakh,” he noted.
The analyst believes the same formula is now being applied. According to Igityan, Pashinyan has once again declared that war will become inevitable if the Civil Contract party does not secure a constitutional majority. “We must understand that this argument is an already-tested fabrication,” the expert stressed.
Igityan also noted that the impression is being created that the current government is being presented as the only acceptable option for external forces. “In effect, a narrative is being constructed that this particular political force is seen as the acceptable choice for Turkey and Azerbaijan, because otherwise, following the same logic, war will begin,” the analyst concluded.
