Photo exhibition on Sergei Parajanov to open in St. Petersburg

The exhibition project entitled ‘Next to Parajanov’ will be opened in the Russian Museum and Exhibition Center ROSPHOTO in St. Petersburg on March 14.

According to ROSPHOTO, the exhibition will feature photographs by Yuri Mechitov and Elena Karusaar timed with 100th anniversary of outstanding director Sergei Parajanov.

The exhibition includes portraits of the director, moments of filming, posters, and illustrations for the movies.

The project includes photographs from the ROSPHOTO collections, the Film Museum (Moscow), the Sergei Parajanov Museum (Yerevan), and the archive of photographer Yuri Mechitov.
