Policy based on demagogic statements leads to collapse, expert says
Speaking with Alpha News, Russian political scientist Andrey Areshev commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s accusation of Russia of attempting a coup in Armenia.
According to the expert, Russia will not respond to these accusations due to their obvious abnormality.
“I believe that Russia will not react to these statements, at least at the official level, due to their obvious abnormality and obvious desire to shift responsibility for the destructive actions to someone else. This is Mr. Pashinyan’s old tactic, which he has already brilliantly demonstrated more than once. It is apparently successful and reliable, as part of the Armenian public believes—the part that believes such BS,” Areshev said.
According to the political scientist, Pashinyan’s goal is to deceive the Armenian public.
“The line for the surrender of Karabakh has been manifested in Armenia for quite a long time, and everyone knows very well that Mr. Pashinyan remains one of the consistent supporters of this kind of policy. Again, all his words aimed to shift responsibility to someone else. They have a clear purpose: to continue filling people’s heads with nonsense. However, practice shows that policies based on such techniques and demagogic statements sooner or later lead to collapse. Modern Armenia and the Armenian leadership are, unfortunately, exactly such a case. This is very sad, but, unfortunately, it is what it is,” Areshev concluded.
