Pope Leo XIV sends letter of gratitude to Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople

Pope Leo XIV sent a letter to the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Sahak Mashalian, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome he received at the Armenian Holy Mother of God Patriarchal Church during his visit to Istanbul, the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople reports.

“Such moments only serve to strengthen and deepen the fraternal bonds between our two Churches,” the Pope said in the letter.

The Pope also added that he looks forward to future meetings with the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople.
