Power of defeated and frightened dictator is directed solely against opposition and clergy – Arthur Khachikian

Our dictator is frightened; he sees his ratings falling and the people finally waking up, political scientist Arthur Khachikian said in an interview with Alpha News.

“People understand they were deceived in 2018, that this man was brought to power from abroad to surrender Karabakh. And they see the situation getting worse and worse. This is pure terror; they’re already arresting lawyers. This is unimaginable in the civilized world,” Khachikian said.

When asked whether a dictatorship is possible in Armenia, the political scientist said, “No, unless there is external support.”

According to him, Armenia’s current leadership is controlled by US and British foreign intelligence agencies. Khachikian believes the power of the defeated and frightened dictator is directed solely against the opposition and the clergy.

“Pashinyan wants to intimidate, to silence, so that no one can stop Armenia’s final surrender,” he added.
