Preventive measure against chief secretary of Homeland Party changed – lawyer

The preventive measure against the chief secretary of the Homeland Party, Khachik Galstyan, has been changed, lawyer Arsen Babayan said on his Facebook page.

“After reviewing the motion to extend Khachik Galstyan’s detention, the court (Judge S. Dadoyan) decided to apply the measure of house arrest. Khachik will be home in two days,” he said.

Khachik Galstyan was arrested on the night of December 29–30, 2025. The Anti-Corruption Committee reported that he was detained in connection with a case of pre-election bribes during the municipal elections on November 16 in Vagharshapat. It was also noted that eight people were detained in this case, including the former deputy governor of Armavir.
