The process of acquiring Armenian citizenship by Artsakh residents will be simplified as much as possible, Armen Ghazaryan, the head of the Migration and Citizenship Service, told reporters.

According to Ghazaryan, the services for forcibly displaced persons are provided on the fast track.

“We work on mechanisms to accelerate acceptance and discussion of applications,” he said.

After acquiring Armenian citizenship, the Artsakh people will retain the right to appeal to international agencies for compensation and to ensure their return to their homes, he added.
