Armenia is my “ethnic code”: Armais Kamalov

What helps us, Armenians, to be loved and successful and to preserve national and family values no matter where we live?

The next guest on Alpha News’ “Ethnic Code” is Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Armais Kamalov.

“We maintain very close ties with Armenia, recently we held joint events there. I am proud to be an honorary doctor of the Heratsi Medical Institute. And I am doubly pleased that I was elected a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. I have very close ties with both the medical and scientific communities of Armenia,” Kamalov said.

According to the professor, it is necessary to strengthen ties between the Diaspora and Armenia, as many figures of science and culture are ready to serve for the benefit of their homeland even when they are abroad.

“Let’s recall such surnames as Mergelyan and Saryan. They didn’t live in Armenia, they were invited and considered it their duty to come and help their homeland revive. By the way, Armenia was the most powerful of all the republics of the Soviet Union in terms of industrialization,” Kamalov stressed.
