Armenian citizens ‘under the ruins’ of the HelloBit financial pyramid – Out of Sight

Recently, Armenia has seen a sharp rise in cybercrime, particularly in the financial sector. The victims are primarily those citizens who cannot find other ways to solve their financial problems.
The latest victims of fraud were citizens who invested money in the so‑called HelloBit investment platform. The platform promised returns that defied financial logic—2% of the invested amount paid daily. Most importantly, in its early stages HelloBit actually paid certain people to lure others into the trap.
Encouraged by the prospect of stable and passive income, many citizens began selling their property or borrowing money to make larger investments in hopes of higher profits. In exchange for attracting new participants, the fraudsters promised additional interest.
Although victims of the scam submitted numerous reports to law enforcement agencies, the HelloBit website, operating as an investment platform, remains accessible to citizens of Armenia.
