In Armenia everything comes down to speeches, but words alone cannot create security – The People Speak

As part of “The People Speak” project, Alpha News conducted surveys in Yerevan and Armenian communities in the United States and Russia to learn citizens’ opinions on the most pressing issues.
When asked about Armenian-Turkish relations, one respondent noted that it is necessary to maintain good relations with neighbors, but at the same time Armenians should not forget their past.
“I believe the better you get along with your neighbor, the better it is for you. But we should not rush into their arms and say: what happened is in the past, it’s all behind us. No, I will not forget it,” one respondent said.
Speaking about the level of security in Armenia, many respondents expressed concern, stressing that in the country everything remains at the level of speeches, and security cannot be achieved with words alone.
When asked what qualities the next leader of Armenia should possess, the answer was unanimous: competent, diplomatic, and, above all, pro-Armenian.
