Mirzoyan, Pashinyan and Simonyan say contradictory things. Who is right?

The dead end in foreign policy pursued by the current Armenian authorities is becoming more and more obvious, manifesting itself not only in the attempts of the authorities to fill the political vacuum “staged” in the regions of Armenia but also in the fact that spokespersons of the authorities make contradictory statements about the negotiation process with Azerbaijan.
Thus, on January 10, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that Armenia sees some progress in Azerbaijan’s proposal for a peace treaty during a press conference with his Greek counterpart.
On January 13, commenting on a recent interview with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Nikol Pashinyan said that he considers Azerbaijan’s recent statements a serious blow to the peace process.
And on January 15, Chair of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, said that he did not see any setbacks in negotiations with Azerbaijan.
It can be seen with the unaided eye that the statements by three senior Armenian officials contradict each other. Moreover, in his own speech, the very same Pashinyan noted that Ilham Aliyev’s harsh statements may be due to the domestic political agenda of Azerbaijan, or rather, the upcoming presidential election.
However, apparently, even in the “Civil Contract,” they realized that this option was so untrue that they “threw” other variants of comments on current events, and this was done by Alen Simonyan, who, as already noted, stated that he did not see any setbacks in the negotiations between Yerevan and Baku.
Simonyan “planted” several more dangerous ideas in the public discourse. Among other things, Simonyan, trying to act as Aliyev’s lawyer, actually stated that Aliyev’s threats against Armenia are only a “mirror response” to the narratives that have been voiced in recent decades from Armenia. “For 30 years we have been saying that Karabakh and Nakhichevan are Armenia; Aliyev creates a counterweight to these narratives,” Simonyan said.
First of all, it should be noted that Alen Simonyan, in his statement, equated the real thesis of the Azerbaijanis that Artsakh is Armenian with the false thesis of the Azerbaijanis that Yerevan is Azerbaijani.
Secondly, no government of independent Armenia has declared that Nakhichevan is Armenia. Moreover, referring to the topic of Artsakh, the Armenian leadership in 2018 stated that Artsakh is Armenian, but in terms of international relations, it is a separate entity. The only Armenian leader who declared that “Artsakh is Armenia” was Nikol Pashinyan, who brought the negotiation process to a standstill and led the situation to war.
The statements of Alen Simonyan once again confirmed that one of the most important “think tanks” of the Pashinyan government is the former adviser to the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, a US citizen and a supporter of the idea of Armenia’s de facto integration into the Turkic world, Zhirayr Liparityan.
Simonyan repeats Liparityan’s words that “by threatening Armenia, Aliyev simply creates a counterweight to these narratives that have been used in Armenia in recent decades.”
If we ignore the feelings, it should be said that the Armenian people are being misled again. Aliyev has blown up Pashinyan’s propaganda bubble again. Armenia, as an independent state, faces an existential threat. The Armenian people are facing the risk of a new genocide. This is the result of a disastrous policy pursued over the past 5 years.
Whether all this is the result of Nikol Pashinyan’s inexperience or deliberate policy is the topic of separate consideration after the political changes in Armenia. The fact is that Pashinyan and his team have brought our country to the brink of disaster.
