Tucker Carlson ‘heading to Armenia’

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has a geopolitical carte blanche for repressions and falsifications—something the leader of the Civil Contract party is already using today, as evidenced by his attacks on political opponents and attempts to restrict the participation of political parties in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Countering this requires a combination of tools: ensuring maximum voter turnout; maintaining a “heated street” throughout the entire pre-election campaign and readiness to mobilize people to defend their votes; involving international observers (from the CIS, SCO, Latin America, as well as from the US, Western and Eastern Europe) to monitor the elections and prepare reports; and drawing the attention of global media to Armenian realities.
A number of analysts rightly note that the concept of a “comfort zone” should disappear from Pashinyan’s political vocabulary. Significant work in this direction is already being carried out by the Our Way movement, whose coordinator Narek Karapetyan reported that The Financial Times published an article in its Saturday edition about the arrest of Tashir Group head Samvel Karapetyan, describing the persecution he faced for supporting the 1,700-year-old Armenian Apostolic Church.
The issue of persecution of Armenian clergy was also raised by the British channel GB News, which noted that the world’s first Christian nation is facing a crisis of persecution: three senior clergymen have been arrested, and an archbishop imprisoned.
Moreover, several media outlets have already reported that while in the US, Narek Karapetyan gave an interview to world-renowned journalist Tucker Carlson. The Armenian public knows Carlson primarily for his high-profile interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Carlson is believed to have direct contact with President Donald Trump and to have influenced some of his decisions during his presidency. According to American press reports, he was also one of the key figures in the selection of Trump’s vice president, J.D. Vance. Carlson is considered one of the most important figures in Trump’s MAGA movement. His recent interview with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene focused on the core principles of this movement.
Carlson’s involvement, along with heightened global media attention, could play a significant role during Armenia’s upcoming electoral processes. Another important nuance is that Carlson’s interview with Karapetyan also serves as clear evidence that the vast capital controlled by Samvel Karapetyan is a supranational phenomenon—not tied to a single country, contrary to claims made by some circles in Armenia.
Alongside this, daily work with the population is essential—explaining the importance of participating in elections, since every genuine vote counters one manufactured through administrative pressure. The more real votes are cast, the less weight falsified ballots carry in percentage terms.
As for political forces that actively promote a negative attitude toward participation in elections and call on citizens to abstain, it would be fair for them to declare openly that they and their affiliates will not take part in the parliamentary elections and will not seek power or representation in the new National Assembly.
Think about it…
