Putin and Aliyev discuss steps to stabilize situation in Artsakh

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev priority steps to further stabilize the situation and overcome humanitarian problems in Artsakh, the Kremlin’s press service reported.

“Priority steps were discussed to further stabilize the situation and overcome humanitarian problems in the region,” the Kremlin said in a statement.

President Putin emphasized the importance of ensuring the rights and security of the Armenian population of Artsakh.

“The Azerbaijani side confirmed its readiness to cooperate with Russian peacekeepers on these issues,” the Kremlin reported.
