Putin hopes Armenia will be able to host CIS sports events in Gyumri

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his hope that Armenia will be able to hold CIS sports events in Gyumri next year, despite all the dramatic events that are taking place in the region.

“Next year sport events, as planned, will be held in Gyumri, Armenia. I hope that, despite all the dramatic events that are currently taking place in the region, Armenia will be able to hold these events,” he said at the meeting of the Council of CIS leaders in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
