Putin invites CSTO leaders to Victory Parade in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his remarks at a narrow-format meeting of the Collective Security Council, invited the leaders and military formations of the CSTO member states to take part in the parade on Moscow’s Red Square and celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany.

“I hope you will be able to come to these celebrations in Moscow…In addition, we invite troops of the CSTO countries, together with the Russian ones, to take part in the parade on Red Square. It is very important that we remember the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the 80th anniversary of this victory,” he said, adding that celebrations “at the highest state level” will be held in all countries of the organization.
