On September 18 and 19, the Armenian community will hold a rally in support of Artsakh near the UN headquarters in New York, actress and community activist Shogher Grigoryan told Alpha News.
She called on American Armenians to join the protests and once again voice the problem of besieged Artsakh.
“We need support. These days security issues will be discussed at the UN, and for us security is associated with Artsakh. We want to be on the street waving the flags of Artsakh to remind about us, to provoke public discussion,” she said.
It should be noted that rallies will also take place in six European countries, with protesters sending a letter to the relevant government authorities and UN member states.
Shogher Grigoryan did not disclose the contents of the letter, emphasizing only that the main demand is the unblocking of Artsakh.
“We must be united. The Turks are scared of the Armenian community and we must maintain this status. We cannot stay indifferent. If we can change something, then we must do it. The lives of 120 thousand Armenians are precious. Artsakh has the right to live,” she added.
