Renowned Armenian pianist Hayk Melikyan is set to perform at the prestigious Solís Concert Hall in Montevideo, Uruguay, on June 25 with the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert will feature the famous Piano Concerto by Aram Khachaturian. The event will be conducted by Alvaro Hakobian, with Hayk Melikyan as the soloist. This concert is a tribute to Aram Khachaturian.

The pianist will then travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to perform at the Beethoven Concert Hall on June 28. The recital, titled “Armenian Palette,” will showcase a range of works by Armenian classical and contemporary composers. The repertoire will include compositions by Komitas, Khachaturian, Babadjanian, Saian, Dellalian, and Yolchian, among others.

“These concerts aim to introduce Armenian classical music to the music-loving audiences of Montevideo and Buenos Aires, while also promoting cultural ties and strengthening the friendship between the two South American countries,” said the pianist’s manager, Alexander Plato Hakobyan.
