Retrospective of Karen Shakhnazarov’s films opens in Rome

An Italian project ‘From the pages of literature to the big screen’ was opened with the screening of a new film by Russian-Armenian filmmaker Karen Shakhnazarov, ‘Khitrovka. The Sign of Four’.

A total of six films are presented in the retrospective, which will last until November 24 in Rome, Italy.

Screenings of Shakhnazarov’s films, which are based on the works of Leo Tolstoy and Anton Chekhov, will be held in Cinema Farnese in Rome’s historic Campo de’ Fiori.
