Robert Kocharyan is geopolitical figure – Alen Ghevondyan

Robert Kocharyan is a geopolitical figure, political scientist Alen Ghevondyan said in an interview with Alpha News.
“Armenia’s geopolitical potential and internal capabilities have always been modest, if not weak. Therefore, geopolitical changes have had a very strong impact on Armenia. The second president is a geopolitical figure. Not only the previous press conference but also the 2021 elections, even all domestic political manifestations, have always been presented geopolitically. This is mainly due to his ideas about Armenian-Russian relations and approaches stemming from political realism,” Alen Ghevondyan noted.
According to him, there is still time before the 2026 elections to understand what processes are underway.
“We are seeing the return of the pole in the form of the second president’s public address. But here the question arises as to what manifestation this will have on the political field and what the team steps will be taken. If this was a statement for the pre-election process regarding the 2026 elections, we have some time to understand where this process is going,” the political scientist noted.
