Rome’s Angelicum hosts scientific conference dedicated to protection of Artsakh’s holy sites

On November 18-19, the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome hosted a conference entitled “Sacred Grounds, Shared Vision: Preserving Holy Sites for a Joined Christian Ministry”.
 
The event was organized by representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the Holy See and the Institute for Ecumenical Studies of the Angelicum under the patronage of the Catholicosate of All Armenians, as well as the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and Dicastery for Culture and Education.
 
During the conference, the participants discussed the importance of protecting Artsakh’s holy sites, emphasizing that they are of vital significance not only for the Armenian heritage but also for Christians all over the world. It was noted that the preservation of the holy sites can contribute to peaceful coexistence and the preservation of global cultural values.
