Russia calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan for restraint

Russia calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan for restraint as alarming news is coming from the line of contact, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.

“Undoubtedly, the news coming from the line of contact is alarming. We urge both sides to exercise restraint and avoid, in every possible way, those actions that the other side may consider provocative. We will closely monitor the situation,” Peskov told reporters.

According to Peskov, such incidents, at the very least, do not contribute to the signing of a peace treaty.

“We hope that the [peace] process will continue,” he emphasized.
