Russia considers Armenia its ally, Deputy PM Overchuk says

Russia continues to consider Armenia its ally, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk told journalists, TASS reports.
“We assume that Armenia is our ally. We have very important economic relations. Trade with Armenia is $7.3 billion. Moreover, if we look at the statistics, trade increased twice in January-April compared to last year. The pace is very good, and the economy is developing very well,” he said.
Overchuk added that Armenia is very active in the format of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
