Russia strongly disagrees with the attempt to assign responsibility for the situation around Karabakh to Moscow and Russian peacekeepers, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with journalists.

“Russia will continue the dialogue with Armenia, including Pashinyan, but we strongly disagree with attempts to blame Russian peacekeepers for something,” he said, adding that Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh show heroism, and no one can blame them for not fulfilling their duties.

“So far, hardly anyone can say about the prospects for the presence of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh,” Peskov said, adding that Russia continues contacts with Baku.

According to Peskov, there are no concrete plans for organizing a trilateral meeting of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan yet.
