Russia does not end its ties with Yerevan, and Armenia remains Russia’s ally, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s absence at the CIS summit in Kyrgyzstan.

“He [Pashinyan] has his own reasons for this. And we respect it. But it does not mean that we end our contacts. We will continue our dialogue. Armenia has been and will be our ally and our neighbor, a country with which we share a common history and a common future, at least for the reason that there are more Armenians in Russia than in Armenia itself. It is important that everyone remembers this,” Peskov said.
