Moscow intends to continue developing relations with both Yerevan and Baku, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists, commenting on US Vice President JD Vance’s visit to the region.

“Of course, we intend to further develop these relations with our partners so that they are beneficial not only for us but also for them,” he said.

Speaking about Armenia’s membership in the EAEU, Peskov noted that the role of the union in Armenia’s rapid development is obvious.

According to him, Russia expects continued cooperation with Armenia within the EAEU. “With Armenia, we are united by integration projects—the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC). It is hardly possible to dispute the role played by the EAEC in maintaining such high rates of economic growth in this country. This role is obvious. And we hope that this cooperation will continue,” Peskov said.
