During a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow is ready to assist Armenia in every possible way to ensure its defense, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
“Moscow is interested in the full normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku. We continue to view security as one of the most important dimensions of our alliance,” the Russian Foreign Minister said.
Lavrov noted that Russia is interested in Armenia’s active involvement in promising processes within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) framework, as well as under the auspices of BRICS.
According to him, the EAEU is becoming increasingly effective and self-sufficient, demonstrating stability and efficiency despite turbulent developments in the global market.
“Building up cooperation on the CIS platform is relevant as well,” Lavrov emphasized.
