Russia is not afraid and ready for war with Europe – Beniamin Matevosyan

If Europe claims it is expecting a war with Russia, it should be noted that Russia is not afraid of such a war and is prepared for it, political scientist Beniamin Matevosyan said in an interview with Alpha News.

“The Russian army is the most combat-ready force on the European continent,” he emphasized.

He drew a comparison between the context of Russian-American relations and that of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

“The US and Europe, aiming for a strategic defeat of Russia, could have initiated military action against it. Why didn’t they? Because they were convinced that if war broke out, Moscow might resort to using nuclear weapons. In other words, the military balance helped prevent war—whereas we perceive reality as follows: the weaker we are, the greater the chance for peace,” Matevosyan added.
