Russia MFA spox says France provokes new escalation in South Caucasus

France is provoking another round of escalation in the South Caucasus, the contract for the supply of CAESAR howitzers to Armenia confirms it, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a press briefing on Wednesday.

“Paris is provoking another round of armed confrontation in the South Caucasus. This is one more step. We talked about it, you again see the confirmation,” the diplomat noted, commenting on the Armenia-France deal.
