Russia ready to discuss joining Trump Route – Ambassador

Russia is closely monitoring the Armenian-American project “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” and is ready to discuss possible participation in this initiative, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

“We are watching very carefully what is happening around the Armenian-American project ‘Trump Route’… We are ready to discuss the possibility of joining this initiative, taking into account the very close cooperation between Russia and Armenia in maintaining and developing Armenia’s railway sector,” Kopyrkin said.

He noted that specific practical details are only beginning to emerge and that some time will be required to launch this project. Russia has been following and will continue to follow this process, the ambassador emphasized.
