Russia views entry ban on its citizens as unfriendly act – Maria Zakharova

Russia considers Armenia’s restrictions on the entry of Russian citizens an unfriendly act, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a press briefing on Wednesday.

“The issue of a ‘stop list’ in our relations with Armenia frequently arises in discussions. We view the restriction on the entry of Russian citizens into Armenia as an unfriendly step that contradicts the allied nature of Russia-Armenia cooperation. This issue was discussed during Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s visit to the Republic of Armenia in May. Specific proposals were presented to the Armenian side, and we are now awaiting a response from Yerevan,” Zakharova said.
