Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan reveals about talks on peacekeepers in Artsakh

Russia and Azerbaijan are finalizing the dates of the next round of talks on the Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Yevdokimov told Izvestia newspaper.

“Now we are finalizing the dates of the next round of talks around our peacekeepers with the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry,” he said, noting that the term of stay of Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh expires in 2025.

According to the diplomat, after Azerbaijan took control over the territory of Artsakh, the role of the Russian peacekeeping mission has changed. Now Russian peacekeepers, together with Azerbaijani forces, are patrolling the territories and guarding buildings and cultural facilities.
