Russian Foreign Ministry officials visit Kapan to discuss plans to open consulate-general

Russian Foreign Ministry official Sergey Chashchikhin met with Kapan Mayor Gevorg Parsyan to discuss plans to open a consulate-general in the town, the Russian Embassy in Armenia said in a press release.

During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation.

The Russian official thanked the Kapan leadership for supporting the opening of the consulate-general and the expansion of contacts of the advance team with representatives of the business circles of Kapan.

The sides discussed promising directions for cultural-humanitarian and trade-economic cooperation.

They also underscored the importance of establishing and developing close ties between Kapan and Russian cities.
