Russian MFA spokesperson says duration of peacekeepers’ stay in Artsakh will be decided with Baku

The duration of the stay of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh will be determined with Baku, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said during a briefing on Wednesday.

“As we talked about it, the duration and other issues of the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in the region will be determined jointly with our colleagues. If you are talking about the territory of Karabakh, then it will be decided together with the Azerbaijani side, taking into account the situation on the ground,” she said.

When asked about the arrest of former Artsakh officials by Azerbaijan, Zakharova noted that Russia had not received any appeals for assistance in this matter.
