Russia supports the joint decision by Azerbaijan and Armenia to dissolve the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), which had been involved in resolving the Karabakh conflict, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, told RBC. He clarified that the group is expected to be fully dissolved by December 2025.

According to him, the decision involves terminating the work of three entities: the Minsk Group itself, the position of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, and the High-Level Planning Group.

“Given the position of the parties regarding the impracticality of maintaining these structures, we see no reason to obstruct their dissolution,” the diplomat said.
