Philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan has been subjected to an additional exceptional restriction by court decision: he is prohibited from making any statements containing appeals. This was announced on social media by lawyer Aram Vardevanyan.

“By court decision, an additional exceptional restriction was applied: Samvel Karapetyan is prohibited from making any statements containing appeals. It is unclear how violations of this restriction will be identified, but it is obvious that this is a direct limitation of public speech, which did not exist even under conditions of detention.

It is evident that the intensity of political persecution of the national benefactor and a person who has declared his political intentions, Samvel Karapetyan, is the most serious obstacle to the application of reasonable legal mechanisms.
