Samvel Karapetyan calls on Armenian MFA to take urgent steps for Ruben Vardanyan’s return

Russian businessman, head of the Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan commented on the arrest of Ruben Vardanyan, stressing that he considers the actions of the Azerbaijani authorities a blatant act of injustice, the press service of the Tashir Group of companies reported.

“Ruben is known primarily as a benefactor and philanthropist, a person who has done a lot in charity circles in both Russia and Armenia, and launched international humanitarian initiatives. I know Ruben as a true patriot who went through the hard trials that befell the Motherland together with the Armenian people,” Karapetyan said.

He noted that he has always supported Vardanyan’s humanitarian projects, in particular the Aurora initiative that seeks to solve global humanitarian problems and nonviolently change the world.

“I call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia to take urgent measures for the return of Armenian citizen Ruben Vardanyan,” Karapetyan stressed.
