Samvel Karapetyan charged with public calls for seizing power

Samvel Karapetyan has been charged with publicly calling for the seizure of power, his lawyer Armen Feroyan, who resides in Russia, said. This was reported by RFE/RL’s Armenian Service.

Karapetyan’s supporters have now gathered outside the building of the Investigative Committee’s General Department for Investigation of Crimes against the State, Constitutional Order, and Public Security.

The Investigative Committee has not issued an official statement regarding the case yet.
