Samvel Karapetyan remains under house arrest – lawyer

Judge of the Anti-Corruption Court of Appeal, Zhenya Meliksetyan, rejected the complaint filed by the defense, lawyer Aram Vardevanyan reported, noting that the prosecution of the head of the Tashir Group has already continued for more than 260 days.

According to the lawyer, the case cannot be considered lawful, as it is based solely on accusations of publicly supporting the Armenian Apostolic Church. Thus, the court’s decision leaves the existing measures against Karapetyan in force, despite protests from his defense team.
