Samvel Karapetyan’s health deteriorated due to state’s failure to fulfill its obligations – Liana Gasparyan

Businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan’s health has worsened as a result of the state’s failure to fulfill its obligations, said businessman’s lawyer Liana Gasparyan.

“As noted, Samvel Karapetyan has never complained about his health, but the defense side has consistently—starting from June 23, 2025—submitted written requests every two to three days to ensure proper medical examinations for him. I personally submitted those requests and spoke with employees of the penitentiary medical center, who assured me that the examination would be organized very quickly. Yet, as we see, seven months later no action has been taken,” Gasparyan said.

According to her, the medical center also fails to carry out the duties assigned to it.
