Sareen Hairabedian’s ‘My Sweet Land’ to premiere at Danish Film Festival

“My Sweet Land” by Armenian-Jordanian director Sareen Hairabedian will have its Danish premiere at CPH:DOX, a prestigious international film festival to be held from March 19 to 30.

Held annually in Copenhagen, CPH:DOX is not only the largest festival in Scandinavia but also one of the most significant in Europe.

“My Sweet Land” follows an 11-year-old boy named Vrej, who lives in a picturesque village in Artsakh and dreams of becoming a dentist. Vrej’s life takes a sudden turn when war erupts, forcing him to flee with his family. After the defeat of the war, the family returns to their devastated homeland. The boy faces a harsh new reality, preparing for future battles as he carries the weight of his hopes and traumas.
