Sati Hayrapetyan wins silver at International Geography Olympiad in Bangkok

Sati Hayrapetyan, a 12th-grade student from Quantum College in Yerevan, Armenia, won a silver medal at the 21st International Geography Olympiad (iGeo), held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Each national team was composed of up to four students. Armenia’s delegation included four 12th-grade students: Sati Hayrapetyan, Nare Poghosyan, and Hayk Antonyan from Quantum College, and Vahagn Aloyan from Ayb School. The team was led by Vardan Asatryan (National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Quantum College) and Gor Aleksanyan (Yerevan State University).

The Olympiad took place from July 26 to August 1, bringing together 179 schoolchildren from 47 countries.
