Two members of the movement for the protection of the Armenian community were arrested as a result of the terrorist attack on the Armenian Quarter in Jerusalem, SavetheArQ reports on X.
“Two of our boys, Paul Djernazian and Bedig ‘Kach’ Giragossian, have been officially arrested. Tomorrow, they will be brought to court and the lawyers hired by SavetheArQ will represent them. We urge the Armenian Patriarchate to use every means possible, through their connections with the police, municipality and government, for the release of our boys,” it says.
As reported earlier, on December 28, a group of terrorists, about 30 people in black clothes and masks, armed with sticks, tear gas grenades, and some other means, attacked the Armenians in the “Cows’ Garden” of the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem in order to harm them, make them leave the area, and intimidate them. Bishops, priests, deacons, seminarians, and indigenous Armenians were seriously injured. Later, six terrorists and two young Armenians were detained.
