SCO membership talks for Armenia and Azerbaijan postponed due to time constraints – Indian External Affairs Ministry

India’s Ministry of External Affairs stated that the issue of Armenia and Azerbaijan joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was not discussed at the recent summit in China due to time constraints.

However, as noted by official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the topic remains on the SCO’s agenda. This was his response to reports suggesting that India had allegedly blocked Azerbaijan’s application for membership in the organization.
