It is hard to say what decision the UN Security Council will make on August 16, editor-in-chief of the Azdak newspaper in Lebanon Shahan Gantaharyan said in an interview with Alpha News.

“The situation is delicate, and it is hard to say what decision the UN Security Council will make on August 16 because Azerbaijan is being active. We hope that the UN Security Council will act within its powers and will ensure that the decisions of the International Court of Justice will be implemented. However, it is necessary to actively work with multilateral diplomacy so that the UN prevents the genocidal policy of Azerbaijan,” Gantaharyan said.

He also presented the work of the Hay Dat Committee in Lebanon.

“Hay Dat Committee is actively working here, and trying to correctly present the essence of the conflict and what genocidal actions Azerbaijan is carrying out. The delegation of Hay Dat Committee had meetings with numerous diplomatic representatives. Today, the Lebanese media responded to the Hay Dat latest post where opinions of prominent genocide experts are mentioned, claiming that Azerbaijan is conducting genocidal policy against the people of Artsakh,” Gantaharyan said.

He stressed that the community was always standing with Artsakh and always covered the events correctly so that the Lebanese society also perceive the situation correctly.
